The rules are:
1. Post these rules.
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal/ blog of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more persons are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them they're tagged
1. It drives me nuts when people use that passive-aggressive way of speaking. Be straight with me, folks.
2. I am utterly terrified of spiders and needles.
3. I've been riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles since I was 8 years old.
4. On that note, I am a Harley snob.
5. I hate Hondas.
6. I'm a little over half-Irish but I consider myself full Irish since it pretty much dominates my genes.
7. I have had all of my pets since they were babies and, with the exception of two cats (one was clearly an outdoor cat whom we gave to a friend that has a barn and the other was in danger of being starved to death because my other three cats kept chasing her away from the food bowl so we gave her to the neighbor who has no pets), I have never given any of my pets away. I keep them until they die.
8. I most enjoy working with animals and younger children - most adults, or older children irritate the hell out of me.
9. My eyes are a grey-blue with this funky golden ring near the pupil (and yet at least one person has said I have green eyes).
10. I love going on loooong roadtrips (like the two day trip from where I live to my dad's house in MA).
11. I am allergic to basically every type of grass (among a bunch of other things) and my allergies are driving me crazy lately *attempts to resist rubbing itchy eyes*
12. <3 The Frames.
13. My inner thighs and my outer thighs aren't equal in strength.
14. I couldn't get a tan even if my life depended on it - it takes a short amount of time for me to burn as red as a lobster.
15. Psychology intrigues me.
16. I have never broken a bone in my life.
I tagged: ...ah hell, I tag whoever reads this. xP (is laaaazy)
And, here is my note, thanks to Olympic Ferro.
The Note:
Dear John,
I don't know how to say this, but our romance is over.
I think I realized it that night in your van, and I saw you sit on my best friend.
I'm sure you're cowardly enough to understand that your Honda sucks.
I'm sending back the pictures of Portugal, but I'll keep your suicide-note as a memory.
You should know that I get sick when I think about our friendship.
Say goodbye to your creepy family from me,
Rottie
(hah, just thought it was amusing.)
In other news, I've been working at a Dog Daycare called City Bark for three weeks now and I love it. It pays decent enough and I get to play with dogs for the majority of each shift (each shift generally consists of 6 - 7 hours). But the best part - I'm getting a puppy in roughly 12 days. It's a small dog - a Jack Russell that will grow to be about 13 inches tall at the shoulders. I know, I know. Little dogs are "evil", big dogs rule. I'd prefer a larger dog but truth be told - we live in a townhouse (meaning, no yard), therefore it'd be unfair to the dog if we got a big dog. And I'm willing to admit that I like all sizes of dogs and I happen to be a firm believer that good training gives you a good dog - despite the size. Even though I hate bragging, I'm pretty good with dogs - training and all - even my award-winning trainer of a manager at City Bark thinks so. And that's saying something.
I started my summer Child Development Psychology class on Thursday, it's going pretty well thus far. Though I can't really say much considering I've only been once, we only meet on Thursdays. From the 25th to the 28th of July we're going on a small family roadtrip and I'll be bringing my new puppy with. Then, as soon as I hear back from my dad (I'm not holding my breath), I should have a trip in August to look forward to. Just a short 7-10 days trip to visit my dad. I'll be bringing the pup with me on that one, too. The joys of a smaller dog that can travel in-cabin on flights <3. Anyway, I've got a theorist paper I have to write for this upcoming Thursday and two sections of my textbook to read. Thank goodness for distractions and things to keep me busy, otherwise I'd be pacing the floor daily... for hours thinking of nothing but the puppy. Yes, I'm that pathetic. I'm also going to make her a bed at some point, I've had the materials available for years (I was going to make my neighbor's two kids each a stuffed monkey but then they moved and I forgot all about it) so all I have to do is break out the sewing machine. xD Should be fun.
Anyway, I should be heading out. I'm a bit tired.
Goodnight lovies!
